When Music Meets Imagination

“Music is what feelings sound like.”

For me Inspiration comes from many places, but this video of Awolnation's Sail music video took my breath away – it feels like wandering around my own imagination. Highly recommended viewing. Many thanks to @joekawano on Twitter for sending me the link. I'm indebted to you.

  2. Been meandering through your blogs much like I might a fascinating garden. It's rare for me to be on a site that inspires. Yours is one such. Your quotes, your own thoughts - speak to the awe of life. Thank you. It gets lonely out here. Here's a quote for you: "I knew in that moment, we were never meant to surrender our childlike innocence, to trade a world in which we fit like a glove for one that hung on us like ill-fitting hand-me-downs. However, all about us insisted on our membership. And instead of a handshake or a mystical password as entrance into this spurious society, we agreed instead to share a lie, the one that says we’re safe, secure, and fulfilled living this way." From "Dying to Know"

  3. I just discovered Awolnation a few weeks ago! Several of their songs are on my playlist for my next book. I LOVE Sail, and this is an amazing video. Thanks for sharing.

  4. This track became my editing theme tune for a while, Shallee! It's almost like a scene from Cloud Riders come to life. It would make a great soundtrack for a film version! ;o)
